Senior Formalities and Permit Specialist

Job Summary

Support the execution of permits and formalities processes across business lines and projects. Ensure the timely preparation, submission, and renewal of company licenses and permits in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, provide technical guidance to junior staff, and contribute to the improvement of formalities procedures and documentation standards.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric
Manage end-to-end permitting and formalities processes and activities in accordance with government regulations and internal company policies. All permits/licenses obtained on time and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Liaise with governmental and regulatory authorities to ensure timely acquisition of necessary approvals Effective communication leads to expedited approvals and minimal rework
Review documentation prepared by junior staff and ensure accuracy and completeness. Submitted documentation is accurate, complete, and error-free

Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential impact on projects and operations.

Changes identified early and communicated effectively to stakeholders

Contribute to the development and improvement of permitting procedures and standards.

Procedures are standardized and contribute to more efficient processes
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min. 3 - 5 years experiences in a role related to permits, licensing, or regulatory formalities.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, legal frameworks, and permitting procedures relevant to the business sector
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations.
  • Skilled in liaising and negotiating with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and external partners.
  • Strong diplomatic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to travel to other work location or project sites (when required).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
