Field Training Operations Officer - E&C Academy

Job Summary

Responsible for executing frontline training support across site projects, focusing on onboarding new projects, delivering essential training programs, and supporting trainers on-site. The role emphasizes responsiveness to immediate training needs, learner feedback, and helping maintain certification standards across the workforce.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric

Support the timely mobilization and training setup for new site projects.

Training facilities, materials, and personnel are ready before mobilization deadline

Assist in the coordination and delivery of high-priority training sessions as directed by the supervisor or superintendent.

Training delivered according to plan and meets operational requirements

Conduct on-site assessments of workforce learning needs and gather feedback from trainees and operational teams.

Accurate data gathered and reported; needs aligned with operational objectives

Deliver "train-the-trainer" sessions to ensure local trainers / trainers on-site are aligned with standard methodologies.

Trainers demonstrate correct methodology and content delivery  

Administer and document certification assessments for operational and safety-critical roles.

Assessments conducted with accuracy and integrity; records maintained properly
Maintain training records and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.  Accurate and up-to-date records available at all times
Liaise with supervisors to report issues, risks, and improvement opportunities identified in the field. Timely communication of actionable insights to relevant teams
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resource Development / Training and Development, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min. 1 - 3 years experience in site-based training or technical training delivery.
  • Experience working in mining, construction, oil & gas, or other field-intensive industrial environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with company and industry requirements for training certification.
  • Working knowledge of presentation tools, video-based learning, mobile training units, and LMS platforms.
  • Ability to conduct technical and safety training sessions effectively in the field.
  • Skilled in facilitating hands-on learning and workplace-based coaching.
  • Clear communication skills to engage diverse workforce groups.
  • Able to observe work practices and identify knowledge or skill gaps.
  • Experience in assessing learner performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple training activities across dynamic field environments.
  • Attention to detail for tracking training records, certifications, and compliance checklists.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
