Environment Engineer - Sulawesi Selatan
Job Summary
This position is under the directorate of Safety, Health, and Environment and responsible for managing environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and environmental protection efforts within an organization. The Environment Officer plays a key role in promoting sustainable practices, managing environmental risks, and supporting the company’s overall environmental goals.The position also involves educating staff, monitoring environmental performance, and reporting on the company’s sustainability and environmental efforts.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure the organization complies with all environmental regulations, laws, and standards at local, national, and international levels |
Successfully executed Environmental Compliance & Regulatory Oversight |
Drive the development of environmental management plans and sustainability strategies aligned with the company’s broader business goals. |
Managing Sustainability & Environmental Performance |
Identify, assess, and manage environmental risks (e.g., pollution, resource depletion, waste management), ensuring the implementation of risk control measures. |
Managing environmental risks for the long term of the company |
Track and report on environmental targets, providing updates on progress toward sustainability goals and recommending actions for continuous improvement. |
Monitoring, reporting, and documentation about Environment |
Take an active role as role model to provide guide in upholding ethics and integrity (e.g., willing to provide guidance/consultation on ethics and integrity whenever required, continuously uphold ethical values in doing day-to-day process, etc.) in supporting company’s ethical culture. |
Zero tolerance to fraud (including bribery) |
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome |

Education
Bachelor's Degree of Environmental Engineering or related field
Skill, Knowledge, and Experience
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in environmental management, sustainability, or compliance, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental risk management, and best practices in waste management, energy conservation, and resource efficiency.
- Results-driven with a commitment to continuous improvement and environmental sustainability.
- Familiarity with mining and HSE.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skill
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail
