Maintenance Manager - Recon Project

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and cost-effective management of equipment to support site operational excellence and the achievement of project targets or goals. This includes the identification and mitigation of risks, the reduction of waste, and the improvement of maintenance practice in terms of people, processes, and technology to enhance operational performance and SHE at site level.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric
Plan, organize and direct the asset and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective readiness of assets. Readiness of assets has been proven most effective.
Initiative plans and processes which minimize maintenance costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital to ensure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standard that will exceed customer's expectation. Maintenance costs have significantly been minimized and exceeded customer's expectations.
Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes in order to ensure schedule stability that allows for maximum returns on efficiency. Manpower utilization has successfully been improved.
Set and monitor the performance of the plant against standards and targets: MTTBS, MTTFSAPM, MTTR, Availability, PCV and Labor Efficiency Ratio. The performance of the plan has been set and monitored in accordance with standards and targets.
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

D3 Degree with Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Hold a minimum of a high school with 15 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or possess a D3 degree in civil/mechanical/industrial engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining industry. Alternatively, candidates with internationally recognized trade qualifications and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.     
  • Understand business line requirements and production targets.
  • Understand heavy equipment maintenance management.
  • Willing to work and relocate within projects / sites in remote locations.
  • Ability to operate computer (Ms. Office skills).
  • Able to work flexible hours to accommodate job requirements.
