Job Summary

  • Monitor and coordinate welding daily activities to ensure welding work are performed in a technically correct and efficient manner, and assist with development and preventative measures, for repeat or ongoing failure trends within relevant department areas, in order to conform to company's standard and policies.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric
Responsible for compliance to weekly and monthly planning, including scheduled work orders, relating to all maintenance tasks set out daily / to help achieve long term maintenance plans and high equipment availability. Long term maintenance plans and high equipment availability are successfully achieved.
Plan and supervise welder activities regarding tools requirement, spare parts, and consumable goods and also manpower planning in establishment, maintenance, and repairmen of site. Welder activities regarding tools requirement, spare parts, and consumable goods and also manpower planning in establishment, maintenance, and repairmen of site are accurately planned and supervised.
Prepare and submit relevant reporting tasks required in a timely manner, example, review and ensure correct details on work orders and regularly submit to planners for closing, ensure backlog parts are ordered. Relevant reporting tasks required are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
Review and analyse failures to plant. By Monitoring of trends and report pending equipment failure for correct planning into backlog, advising immediately if equipment is unsafe to operate or high potential of major failure occurring. Failures are successfully corrected and prevented.
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

High School Graduate of Mechanical Engineering

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min 1 year experience as a Welder in mining industry in leadership role
  • Qualifications and certificates in field of trade / required duties
  • Fully understand and be able to operate welding machines and others welding equipment
  • Understand structural repairs and fatigue patterns, following correct fabrication practices and welding procedures.
  • Understanding of business line requirements and production targets.
  • Understanding of equipment availability and planning of repairs.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
