Senior QA/QC Engineer

Job Summary

Monitor and review all detail tasks of QA/QC function within project and/or corporate, including vendor and site coordinations and inspections.

Job Responsibilities

Key Metric
Monitor, review and issue project specific documentation such as method statement and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) etc. based on project requirements. Project documentations are successfully monitored and reviewed.
Provide quality input and/or problem resolution to discipline engineers during design and procurement phases or construction supervisors during field construction phase. Engineers are well-disciplined.
Review the quality system of new vendors/ subcontractors and/or conduct the assessment of vendors performance and then prepares/updates the record of Assessed Vendors List (AVL). Quality system is reviewed and updated.
Develop, test and qualify the project welding specifications including welders/welding operators qualification
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Mechanical/Metallurgy Engineering

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min. 5 years of experience as QA/QC Welding, Piping, Structure, and Mechanical Engineer in EPC/Oil & Gas/Mining Industry, with thorough comprehensive knowledge for QA/QC practice in construction and operation.
  • Preferably having familiarity and experiences to QA/QC implementation in oil & gas sector, marine construction, or power plant sector.
  • Having knowledge of Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 and the implementation.
  • Fully conversant with applicable international Codes and Standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, ISO, ASME, SNI, API, EN, DIN).
  • Good knowledge in Quality Management Tools (e.g. TQM, QCC, SPC, Balance Scorecard, etc.) and disseminate through Project Quality Management System.
  • Thorough understanding for Document Management System
  • Having experience in installation of Piping, Structure, and Mechanical equipment.
  • Having knowledge and experience in test package and pre-commissioning stage of Piping Installation and Mechanical Equipment
  • Having experience in supporting project tender.
  • Team workers and organizing people
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage

Certification

  • Welding Engineer
  • ASNT Lv. II for RI, PT & MT of UT
  • Rotating Inspector certification (BNSP or MIGAS) will be an advantage
