Project Forecast and Control Engineer

Job Summary

Providing accurate cost estimation, forecasting, budgeting, and financial control support for mining projects from planning through execution. This role ensures that project costs, schedules, and resources are effectively monitored and controlled, enabling timely and informed decision-making by project managers and stakeholders. 

Job Responsibilities

-Develop, manage, and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
-Track and monitor actual vs. budgeted costs.
-Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions for any cost overruns.
-Prepare and maintain cost reports, dashboards, and cash flow projections.
-Analyze historical and real-time data to produce accurate cost and schedule forecasts.
-Identify trends, risks, and potential deviations from the plan.
-Regularly update project forecasts based on actual progress and future outlook.

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Engineering.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min. 3 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or forecasting, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
  • Strong background in large-scale capital mining projects is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of Mining Business Process.
  • Strong financial management knowledge.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage.
