Mechanical Engineer (Domicile Balikpapan)

Job Summary

This role will responsible for determine, identify, develop, analyse, verification and testing mechanical design product. With focus on structural analysis, hydraulic and pneumatic system design, review draft design with mechanical discipline, and support process improvement remanufacturing and refurbishment mining equipment. This position is critical role in ensuring that design meet standard for functionality, safety, and efficiency. This role will collaboration with Production Improvement rebuild team, production supervisor, QC team, planner and procurement to resolve technical issue in operations to achieve company target with safe, reliable, efficient design.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical system in every product design for mining equipment and remanufacturing industry.
  • Perform virtual simulation with Finite Element Analysis, dynamic simulation, determine tolerancing according ISO, create test plan, and review test result for product improvement.
  • Create a hydraulic and pneumatic system design for product, specify component of system such as lines, valve, cylinder, actuator, power pack (pump and motor), etc., analyse, simulate system and sketch schematic system into drawing.
  • Create engineering analysis and testing report document.
  • Review design and shop drawing with mechanical discipline and GD&T annotation before issued for production.
  • Collaborate with Production and process Improvement team to improving productivity Petrosea Rebuild Center.
  • Collaborate with engineer, production supervisor, and quality control for resolve technical issue to achieve quality acceptance product.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trend, technologies, and best practices related to engineering tools (CMM, PMI, software)

Education

Minimum bachelor degree mechanical engineering.

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min. 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering design product.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in use ANSYS
  • Min. 1 years of experience in use CAD and parametric drawing software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor) in design mining equipment or heavy equipment remanufacture industry.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanical part of fluids mechanics, thermodynamics/energy conversion.
  • Understand and updated with material specification and mechanical properties.
  • Able to use hydraulic simulation software is a plus.
